| On November 14 (local time), 2012 a total solar eclipse passed through North Queensland, Australia. From a platform on the Great Barrier Reef we stood in the centerline of the shadow of the Sun as it raced past. On this tour we also explored Sydney, visited Siding Springs Observatory, Parkes Radio Telescope, the Blue Mountains, and the Cairns area including the Karunda Rainforest, Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, the Great Barrier Reef, and Cairns itself.
