Few phenomena have so inspired and humbled humans throughout the ages as a total solar eclipse. Standing under the shadow of the moon as it races across the face of the Earth at a typical speed of about 1700 km/hr is a rare opportunity and one that is inexpressibly spectacular.

UPDATE REGARDING EASTER ISLAND (30 Dec 2009): We have a handful of spaces left for an LA departure for Easter Island. We have also arranged rooms in guesthouses on the island for those travelers that will be buying our airfares, if interested. One of our guides will travel to the island with the group and will arrange some tour services. This will be a very minimal tour, primarily independant travel at cost.
