James Dove, Ph.D.
Dr. James Dove received his Ph.D. from the department Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His thesis was on the predicted spectrum of X-ray radiation emitted by accreting black holes in X-ray binaries. He is currently a professor of physics at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he has been teaching physics and astronomy courses for 25 years. His research interests include theoretical high-energy astrophysics, magneto-hydrodynamical processes in the solar corona, and ionization processes in the interstellar medium. Jim will join Sirius Travel as a guide on our eclipse tour to Mallorca in 2026.
