Ken Yanow
Kenneth Yanow has been a Professor of Geographical Sciences at Southwestern College (SWC) for the past 20 years. He directs the Geospatial Technology (GST) programs and the Drone Technology and Applications programs at SWC, and is also an Associate Director for the National Science Foundation (NSF) National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence (GeoTech Center). Ken teaches Physical Geography, Earth Science, Geographic Information Science, Remote Sensing, Image Analysis, and Astronomy. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), and two Master’s degrees from San Diego State University (SDSU), one in Geography and the other in Astronomy.
Ken actively posts lectures to YouTube and has worked with Sirius Travel as an Astronomer guide on our Dude Ranch Eclipse Experience in 2017.
