Nick Graber, B.A.
Nick Graber is a science communicator who studied astronomy at Columbia University before spending three years working with telescopes at Cloud Break Optics in Seattle. While there, they both learned and taught how to use all sorts of astronomy and astrophotography gear, and even went on a work trip with about 10 different scopes to see the 2024 eclipse in Texas! They have helped build a spectrograph to study circumgalactic emissions, published research on RV Tau variable stars, and spent hours sweating in the scablands of eastern Washington to get good photos of nebulae. Their favorite part of astronomy is education, and they’ve worked in many different places, from planetariums in Alaska to summer camps on Nantucket, teaching folks of all ages about the night sky. Now they live in Brooklyn, where you can actually see more stars than you’d think.
