2026 Eclipse trip to Mallorca, Spain

Mallorca, Spain | August, 10-14, 2026

View a total solar eclipse from the island of Mallorca (Majorca), Spain on August 12, 2026!   We selected this site in Spain because it is both beautiful and optimizes our chances of clear viewing based on historical weather data for this date. For this tour we have reserved a block of rooms in a luxury 5-star beach side hotel on Playa de Palma within the line of totality.  In the days surrounding the eclipse, we will be visiting the city of Palma, the Caves of Drach, and enjoying wine tasting and a traditional Mallorcan meal at a local winery.

You get your ticket to Mallorca and we will take care of the rest!

Caves on Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca
Palma at night

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be collected for a full day tour.  We will start our day with a drive to the east coast to visit the Caves of Drach. These stunning caves are undoubtedly one of the island’s top tourist attractions, extending for almost 1,200 meters in length and reaching a maximum depth of 25 meters below sea level. The caves conceal Lake Martel, one of the biggest underground lakes in the world.

Following lunch, we will return to the western side of Mallorca for a city tour of Palma by bus and foot.  A former Moorish casbah, Palma’s old town is an appealing maze of narrow streets that are a delight to explore on foot. Following our tour of Palma we will return to the hotel in time for an eclipse talk followed by an eclipse-photography workshop with one of our astronomer guides.  This will be a great opportunity for you to discuss your planned techniques with others and pick up some tips if you need them.
